Kitty and I shared a friendship of some 25 years that for me was precious and extraordinary..... I felt particularly close to Kitty because so many events in our lives ran parallel, including an aesthetic that attracted us to many similar forms that ultimately inspired our work. We also shared many of the same interests like our love and respect for our earth, a desire to travel, a fascination with a diversity of cultures and world religions, an interest in Jungian psychology, dreams and journaling and gardening. Later, my husband Roger Dalrymple joined me in sharing this special friendship with Kitty. We simply adored her and will always hold our last memory of Kitty dear. We invited Kitty to brunch in Asheville to see her off on her journey to Vietnam. It was a morning filled joy, laughter and the promise to get together on her return to hear all about her trip...... How special this is to have a chance to gather with so many of Kitty's friends and family to remember her and to honor our Mother Earth.
