Alice Sebrell, a Charlotte, NC native, has lived in Asheville, NC since July 1997. She earned her MFA in Photography from The Savannah College of Art and Design and her BFA from the University of Delaware. A past recipient of a North Carolina Arts Council Project Grant and a Charlotte/Mecklenburg Arts & Science Council Regional Emerging Artist Grant, Alice's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is in public and private collections including The Asheville Art Museum, Bank of America, R.J.
Reynolds, Davidson College and the Greenville County (SC) Museum of Art. She is the Program Director of the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center in Asheville, NC.

I loved and respected Kitty as a woman from my mother's generation who refused to follow the "rules". I loved her bravery, audacity and her extraordinary embrace of life.
