Title: 265 Days
By: Sas Colby
Medium: Calendar made from Tea Bags - hand stitching with rubber stamped text
Dimensions: 4' x 6'
Price: $750
A passion for beauty and harmony informs the art I have made and exhibited for the past thirty-five years. My work intuitively addresses concerns such as the look and sound of language, the physicality of craft, the personal in relation to the universal, visual metaphor, and aspects of scale.
This calendar is hand-stitched from tea bags obsessively collected
during the year, incorporating both recycling and the passage of time into the
wall hanging.
I‘m pleased to honor Kitty Couch by participating in this exhibition, and in doing so, affirm the splendor and humanity implicit in creating.
